About Tomasgreen

Real gardens. Real questions.

Tomasgreen builds knowledge about growing and plants from what actually happens in people’s gardens, homes and growing spaces.

Readers can share a question and photographs from their own situation. Tomasgreen helps make sense of the problem, organise the information and make the answer useful to others who encounter something similar.

Knowledge from real cases

Tomasgreen starts with a real case: a struggling plant, something that needs identifying, a question about pruning, harvesting or planting, or something else happening right now.

Useful cases can then become searchable articles. Over time, this creates a library of real questions, photographs, solutions and experiences.

A connected body of knowledge

Tomasgreen is building more than a collection of articles. Every real question can connect a plant with photographs, symptoms, a location, a season, observations and possible solutions.

As more people share their experiences, those connections can form a semantic knowledge graph. A pothos with yellow leaves becomes more than an individual article: it can be linked to other questions about the same plant, similar symptoms and previous solutions.

This allows the knowledge to improve over time. Each new case can contribute information that makes future answers and existing knowledge more useful.

How we use AI

AI helps analyse photographs and questions, find relevant context, and organise answers and content.

The starting point remains the real case and the information the reader has provided.

The aim is to make real knowledge from real gardens easier to find and use, rather than filling the internet with generic AI text.

Real Gardens

Tomasgreen is being developed around a simple idea: the most interesting things in gardening are already happening in people’s own gardens.

We want to make that knowledge visible, searchable and useful to more people.
